New Staff Members Join City on a Hill Forces

We are thrilled to welcome new Café barista, Bethany Hartman, and Health Clinic Supervisor of Behavioral Health, Vanessa Jurewicz.

Bethany joins us with exceptional barista skills, a deep love for the Lord, and a true servant's heart. She is from the Holland area, volunteers with her church youth group and when she's not crafting delicious drinks, she enjoys spending time with her family and getting lost in a good book.

We're so excited to have her on board and look forward to the warmth, care, and talent she'll bring to our team and our guests. Be sure to say hello and give her a warm welcome next time you stop by!

Vanessa Jurewicz

Supervisor of Behavior Health

Vanessa graduated with her masters degree in social work from the University of Michigan in 2011. She has worked as a therapist and clinical supervisor of mental health services at Easter Seals MORC since 2015. Vanessa received the BSW Field Supervisor of the Year award from Grand Valley State University in 2022/2023. This is what Vanessa says about her therapy style:

"I am passionate about being there for people, turning care into action, believing people matter and they are capable of growth and healing from their challenges.”
